News — Project start

While celebrating 400 anniversary of the most prominent Lithuanian work of cartography – M.K. Radziwill’s “Sierotka” map “Magni Ducatus Lithuaniae …”, we are starting the project “Oldmaps.eu”. The aim of the project is to witness that history can delight the eye, make heart beat faster and put somebody pen to paper, the plow or the sword 🙂 The project has two goals: educational (Facebook profile) and fundrising (website).
